The seven-table poker room struggled to draw players for years. It moved from its location near the theater to its current spot across from the sportsbook in 2012. This did not improve its traffic.<\/p>\n<p>The poker room information was removed from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.treasureisland.com\/casino\/games\">Treasure Island\u2019s website<\/a> on Tuesday.&nbsp;In an emailed response, Treasure Island explained that its poker room &#8220;is a small space, and is not competitive with larger poker rooms on the Strip.&#8221;&nbsp;The casino has not decided what it will do with the poker room space or how it will distribute the jackpot funds.<\/p>\n<p>The closing of Treasure Island\u2019s poker room brings the total open in Las Vegas to 32, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pokeratlas.com\/poker-rooms\/las-vegas-nevada\">Poker Atlas<\/a>. Two of those rooms are only open on weekend nights. Others, like Venetian, Mirage and MGM Grand, have downsized in recent years.<\/p>\n<p>Treasure Island tried several angles to attract players. This included a prop program where players earned as much as $10 an hour and awarding the player with the most pots won during a certain period of time with cash or tournament entry. Tournaments had small guaranteed prize pool to draw players to the room.<\/p>\n<p>The main cash game at Treasure Island was 1\/3 No Limit Hold\u2019em. There are also an occasional small limit game that had a $3 rake cap. Treasure Island\u2019s poker room was once known for a weekly mixed game on Sunday nights, as well as an occasional one during the World Series of Poker.<\/p>\n<h3>Las Vegas poker rooms closed since 2012<\/h3>\n<p>Treasure Island makes the 25<sup>th<\/sup> poker room to close since 2012.
