Downtown Las Vegas casinos

Our first section covers downtown Las Vegas. There are 12 casinos in the Fremont Street Experience area. Each holds a unique place in the market. Three downtown casinos are owned by Boyd Gaming. Another three are part of the Stevens family. Binion’s and Four Queens have the same parent company. The other four casinos are independent of other gaming companies in downtown Las Vegas.

Downtown Las Vegas offers better value than the Strip. Hotel rates are usually lower. The same can be said for resort fees. Two downtown Las Vegas hotels have no resort fee. Restaurants have lower prices. Fine dining can be half the cost downtown than on the Las Vegas Strip.

Casino games tend to be looser in downtown Las Vegas. Many casinos pay 3/2 on all blackjacks. The best blackjack game in Las Vegas is found at El Cortez. Eight of the twelve downtown Las Vegas casinos offer better craps odds than the 3-4-5 times found on the Strip.

The best video poker in Las Vegas is downtown. This includes full pay Joker Poker, Double Bonus Poker, Bonus Poker Deluxe, Jacks or Better, Bonus Poker, Deuces Joker Wild, and Not-So-Ugly-Ducks, which is the best Deuces Wild game in Las Vegas.

Only three downtown Las Vegas casinos deal triple zero roulette. On the Strip, every casino has it. You can even play single zero roulette at Plaza. It starts at $15.
