Golden Nugget is the flagship casino for downtown Las Vegas. It opened on August 30, 1946. It grew into the most diversified resort in the Fremont Street Experience area. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The largest variety of table games<\/a> is available at Golden Nugget. There are over 1000 slot machines. There are more than 2400 hotel rooms. Golden Nugget has the only poker room<\/a> in downtown Las Vegas. It has an independent sportsbook<\/a> that includes a mobile betting app. There are 11 restaurants on the property.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are several hotel amenities. These include a pool where you can swim with sharks, a spa, shops, a fitness center, and valet parking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Golden Nugget Casino<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Golden Nugget has the largest selection of slot machines in downtown Las Vegas. Of its 1000 machines, there are more slots here proportionately compared to video poker than any other casino in the Fremont Street Experience area. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The worst video poker in downtown Las Vegas is available at Golden Nugget. The best single line game is 7\/5 Bonus Poker with a progressive. That is on the $1 denomination. It is dealt at $2 and $5 without a progressive royal flush jackpot. There are video poker games in high limit with slightly better pay tables but require betting multiple hands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Golden Nugget poker room<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The only downtown Las Vegas poker room is at Golden Nugget. It typically offers two cash games at its 13 tables. Players may choose between an uncapped 1\/2 no limit Texas hold\u2019em game and a fixed limit 3\/6 one. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Golden Nugget sportsbook is an independent one. It is near the Rush Tower. There is a variety of seating with drink service. The ticket counter opens at 9am during the week and 7am on weekends. There are about 50 table games at Golden Nugget. No other downtown Las Vegas casino has more. Golden Nugget has the best table game selection available in the Fremont Street Experience area. Many start at just $5, a throwback to its classic ways of doing business. There are more $5 table games at Golden Nugget than at all other downtown Las Vegas casinos combined. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Golden Nugget table games include Crazy 4 Poker<\/a>, High Card Flush<\/a>, Let it Ride<\/a>, Mississippi Stud<\/a>, Three Card Poker<\/a>, Ultimate Texas Hold\u2019em<\/a>, and triple zero roulette. The blackjack games on the floor require a mandatory $2 side bet. There is also $2 big wheel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Craps and double zero roulette start<\/a> are also available. Golden Nugget has the only Fortune Pai Gow Poker<\/a> table in downtown Las Vegas. Baccarat<\/a> and high limit blackjack usually have a $50 minimum bet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Golden Nugget blackjack rules<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

There are five different blackjack games<\/a> at Golden Nugget. The best is a double deck<\/a> in high limit. It pays 3\/2 and allows double down before and after splitting. The six-deck salon game<\/a> also pays 3\/2. It adds re-split aces up to four hands. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are three blackjack games on the Golden Nugget casino floor. All pay 6\/5. All are in the top three for worst Las Vegas blackjack games<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lucky Cat Blackjack<\/a> is in the front party pit. It requires a $2 Bonus Spin side bet. At the minimum bet, the estimated house advantage is 8.95%.
