Golden Gate is located in downtown Las Vegas at 1 Fremont Street. Its hotel is the oldest in Las Vegas. The previous names for it were Hotel Nevada and Sal Sagev, which is Las Vegas spelled backward. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are just over 100 hotel rooms at Golden Gate. Many are part of the original building. Some were added later. There are no amenities at Golden Gate. It is a hotel, casino, and bar. There are no dining options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Golden Gate is owned by the Derek Stevens family. Its sister properties are Circa<\/a> and The D<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Golden Gate casino<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Golden Gate has the smallest casino floor in downtown Las Vegas. There are about 350 slot machines and 20 table games. Prohibition Bar is the main attraction on the casino floor. It is next to the table game pit<\/a>. It offers a variety of video poker from the quarter up to $5 denominations. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There was a Circa sportsbook<\/a> near the east entrance of the casino. It had a small viewing area. It closed in 2023. Golden Gate does not have a poker or bingo room. There is a high limit slot and table game area near the pit.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The One Club players card is used. It is shared with Circa and The D. Food comps issued to Golden Gate players may be used at those other casinos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Golden Gate deals eight different live table games. Four are blackjack. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

All blackjack<\/a> at Golden Gate pays 3\/2. This includes double-deck, six-deck, eight-deck, and Free Bet Blackjack. The other table games are craps, double zero roulette<\/a>, Three Card Poker<\/a>, and Ultimate Texas Hold\u2019em<\/a>.\u00a0The minimum bets, best video poker by property, and electronic table game information are available to Vegas Advantage members. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The double-deck blackjack game<\/a> is in the salon. There is a six-deck game<\/a> available. Free Bet Blackjack<\/a> pays 3\/2. All blackjack at Golden Gate hits soft 17 and permits double down before and after splitting.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Entertainment at Golden Gate<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Golden Gate does not offer any traditional entertainment options. The main attractions are the casino, Prohibition Bar, and the Circa sportsbook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While there are no live entertainment options on the property, multiple activities and a few shows are available downtown. Some activities are free, such as concerts and the Viva Vision light shows on Fremont Street.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Neonopolis – 450 E Fremont Street<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

At the intersection of East Fremont and Las Vegas Boulevard, Neonopolis offers multiple entertainment venues. Open seven days a week, Axehole Vegas<\/a> is an indoor axe-throwing spot available from 10am to midnight. Hourly sessions allow guests to test out a selection of weaponry, including spears, ninja stars, metal throwing cards, shovels, and of course, the classic axe. To let out a little more steam, they even have a smash room where you get 15 minutes to demolish everything around you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The seven showrooms inside the Notoriety Theater in Downtown Las Vegas host comedy shows and a number of other performances. Shows typically last between 75 to 90 minutes. Doors open 30 minutes prior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
