Stadium Three Card Poker at Treasure Island

In the stadium Three Card Poker game, nine cards are dealt face down in three rows of three, resulting in nine different line combinations available. Each player chooses three numbers that coincide with these rows. Cards are then flipped over and players bet according to the hands they randomly chose. The dealer’s hand is dealt separately.

The stadium at Treasure Island has live dealer Three Card Poker. It has a $2 minimum bet. It is available from 8pm to 4am daily.

How to play Three Card Poker

There are two ways to bet at a Three Card Poker table. There is a pair plus side bet and an ante. Players must bet at least one of these to get a hand. There may also be other side bets. The ante bet requires action by the player. The other bets do not. If a player only bets on pair plus, the cards are tucked because there is nothing else for the player to do.

Three Card Poker strategy is an easy game to learn. The strategy is simple. Play a hand of queen-six-four and better. In other words, play all hands with a queen and 7 and higher, plus Queen six except when a 2 or 3 is dealt with it. If the hand is a play, a raise equal to the amount of the ante must be made. If the player folds, the ante and any side bets are lost. The cards go to the dealer.

If the player raises, the hand is compared to the dealer’s hand. First, the dealer must qualify. This requires at least queen-high. If the dealer does not qualify, the ante pushes and the raise is paid. If the dealer qualifies, the hand is compared to the player’s hand. If the player beats the dealer, the raise and ante are paid. If the dealer beats the player, the ante and raise lose. The player wins a tie.

There is an ante bonus for hands of straight and higher. A straight pays 1:1, three of a kind 4:1, and a straight flush pays 6:1. These pay, even if the player loses the hand to the dealer.

Three Card Poker pair plus side bet

The pair plus side bet is paid when the player bets it and makes at least a pair. This pays 1:1. A flush pays 3:1, straight 6:1, three of a kind 30:1, and a straight flush pays 40:1. The hand does not need to win to be paid on this or any other side bets.
