Nearly all Las Vegas casinos with table games deal roulette. It is the second most popular non-blackjack table game in the Las Vegas Table Game Survey behind craps.

There are four types of roulette in Las Vegas. The options are European, single zero, double zero, and triple zero. The best Las Vegas roulette game in terms of payback to players is European. This game has a 1.35% house edge on even money bets and 2.7% on all other bets. Single zero roulette is 2.7% for all bets. Double zero roulette has a house edge of 5.26%, while triple zero roulette is 7.69%.

All Las Vegas casinos that deal roulette have a double zero table, except for O’Sheas. Some offer another version, too. A few Las Vegas Strip casinos deal three versions of the game.

Vegas Advantage is supported through memberships, sponsors, and advertisements. If you or someone you know has a gambling problem, call 1-800-GAMBLER.

Our Las Vegas Blackjack and Table Game Survey is available as part of a subscription service. The minimum bets shown are what we predict are the lowest you will find, often in the mornings and afternoons. Expect higher minimums during busy times.

Be cautious, some 000 roulette tables look like 00 roulette tables. The third zero may be disguised as the casino logo on the table felt. Some casinos open 000 roulette at a lower limit than 00 roulette. Some will have both tables open with the same minimums. Other casino floors open the 000 roulette table only when all the 00 roulette tables are already open and full. In some instances, 000 tables will be open while 00 is closed.

Note that triple zero roulette often has the same minimum bet as double zero. It is always better to choose the double zero roulette table in that scenario. All casinos with 000 roulette, except O’Sheas, have at least one 00 table.

There are three Las Vegas casinos that deal roulette under $5. The cheapest is $2.

The list below is first sorted by the expected minimum bet, then by the number of zeros on the wheel.

Electronic roulette machines offer games with lower limits than the live versions. These come in single, double, and triple zero versions. Some video roulette machines short-pay on straights and splits. We have all the details on video roulette, including the type of machine, number of zeros, and minimum bets, in our Las Vegas Electronic Table Game Guide.

Roulette is a game that has no skill to learn beyond how to bet. There are several ways to place a wager at a roulette table. Even-money bets only lose half when the zero is called in European Roulette. This is called “la partage.”

Red/black: This bet pays even money. It wins if the color bet on comes and loses if it is a zero or the other color.

Odd/even: Wins if the choice comes and loses if it is the other one or zero.

High/low: Low numbers are 1-18. The high numbers are 19-36. The bet loses if the other comes up or zero is called.

Columns: There are three columns at the bottom of a roulette felt. These pay 2:1 if the number in that column hits.

Dozens: Also pays 2:1 and includes the first, second, or third dozen on the wheel.

Straight up: This is a bet on a single number. It pays 35:1.

Split: Covers two numbers next to each other on the felt. It pays 17:1.

Street: Three numbers in a row. It pays 11:1.

Corner: Covers four numbers that touch on the felt. It pays 8:1.

Line: Includes six numbers across two rows on the felt. It pays 5:1.

Roulette is dealt by all online casinos. It is somewhat different than playing roulette in Las Vegas casinos. The minimum bet starts at $1 or less. It is usually dealt in video and live dealer forms.
