WSOP.com is Nevada’s only licensed and legal poker site. Online poker players in Las Vegas, Reno and other parts of the state may play here. It is operated under Caesars Entertainment through its World Series of Poker brand. 888 powers the software and other aspects of the site.

Launched in September 2013, WSOP.com quickly beat out Ultimate Poker for the top spot in terms of player volume in the Nevada online poker industry. It was the number-one site out of the three licensed Nevada poker sites, and since the failure of the other two sites, it now has a total monopoly in the state.

This monopoly has proved to be an issue with how the site is operated. WSOP.com’s support department is historically based in Antigua, and it has been the subject of many player complaints. WSOP.com is also often unresponsive on its social media accounts to player concerns.

Its software is another problem. There have been no major updates since the site launched in 2013. Major bugs discovered years ago are still not resolved.

Even with these issues, hundreds of players still give action to WSOP.com at any given time. Its poker network connects players in Nevada, New Jersey and Delaware, though players in those other states have options besides WSOP.com.

New players receive a 100% up to $500 first-deposit bonus. It clears at a rate of $10 for every $50 in rake paid in cash games, sit-and-gos or tournaments. This equals 20% rakeback. Players have 60 days to clear the bonus, and there are no cashout restrictions related to the bonus. Players may request a withdrawal, even if there is still a pending bonus.

The WSOP.com Nevada software offers Texas hold’em, Omaha, Omaha hi/lo, seven-card stud, and seven-card stud hi/lo. Texas hold’em games are generally no-limit, though there are some fixed-limit tables. Omaha and Omaha hi/lo are pot-limit with an occasional fixed-limit hi/lo game. Seven-card stud and seven-card stud hi/lo are fixed-limit only.

Full-ring Texas hold’em games are only available in the lower limits. At higher stakes, only six-max tables are currently offered. Limits run from blinds of one-cent/two-cent, all the way up to hundreds of dollars.

Poker tournaments run 24 hours a day at WSOP.com in Nevada. The buy-ins start around $1 and can be well over $1,000 for major events such as those related to the live World Series of Poker. Most large buy-in tourneys also have satellites. Read the rules before entering a tournament as most include re-buys and add-ons, which can increase a player’s per-event investment dramatically.

Most WSOP.com poker tournaments are no-limit Texas hold’em. There are a few pot-limit Omaha and Omaha hi/lo tournaments as well. There are no regular stud, mixed, or fixed-limit tourneys.

It is no secret within the online poker industry that WSOP.com has historically awful player support. Nevada players often deal with representatives in Antigua. Issues can go without a good answer for days or sometimes receive no reply at all. Most social media questions and comments are ignored by WSOP.com employees.

There are complaints of phone calls and live chats also going without an answer. Players that have issues at this site may be forced to quit playing due to issues being impossible to resolve.

However, within the last year, WSOP seems to be getting better. There are fewer support and withdrawal complaints.

There are many ways to fund a WSOP.com account in Nevada. The easiest is by cash at Caesars Palace, Harrah’s, or Paris Las Vegas. Other options include PayNearMe, a cash-deposit service located in convenience stores. Electronic checks, PayPal, Discover, Visa, and Mastercard are also available as deposit methods.

Withdrawals are processed through cash at Caesars Palace, Harrah’s, and Paris Las Vegas, bank wire, electronic check, and PayPal. The site has a history of requesting documentation when processing a withdrawal, even if the information is not relevant to a deposit and a player has already supplied the information. Be prepared for this by making sure you can prove your identity and banking information, even from old transactions, to avoid further delays.

WSOP.com Nevada new-player bonus
